A man on a mission of vigilante justice was recently arrested by the police.
The man has been dubbed the "Alaskan Avenger" and used the internet registry to track down and beat up pedophiles and sex offenders.
The man behind the identity, is Jason Vukovich, himself a victim of molestation and child abuse when he was younger.
According to Alfred NG of NY Daily News, the Alaskan Avenger tracked down 3 men and bashed in their heads with a hammer in June.
In an interview, convicted felon Wesley Demarest (pictured above), explained his encounter with Vukovich;
“He said, ‘I’m an avenging angel, I’m going to mete out justice for the people you hurt,’”
Police found a notebook with the Avengers target's names listed, with addresses he also found.
Vukovich, 41, is also accused of robbing the three men after his vengeful beat downs.
NG states, “the sex-offender avenger revealed he had been molested and beaten by his adoptive father when he was a child, he wrote in a letter from jail to the Anchorage Dispatch News."
"What I can say at this time is that after being physically and mentally abused by a predator, my life was forever changed.”
Vukovich explained that he decided to target the sexual offenders in an effort to save the children from a life of trauma because they should be able to live “without the threat of pedophiles lingering around them.”
He faces up to 35 years in prison if convicted.
