I'll never forget the first time I saw Back to the Future 3 when I was a kid. The "hover board" was the coolest thing imaginable and from that moment on, like all the other kids, I knew I wanted one.

The only problem was, Back to the Future was just a movie...
But still one could imagine, right? I mean how amazing would it be if we could actually fly in the sky on a "hover board"?
It seems one man decided to do more than just close his eyes and imagine. Because now, the hoverboard has become a reality! And it's even cooler than it was in the movie!
Franky Zapata, a French jet ski champion has invented the Flyboard Air, and holds the Guinness world record for the farthest hoverboard flight which he achieved off the coast of Sausset-les-Pins in the South of France, where he was able to ride his Flyboard Air hoverboard for a distance of more than 2,252 meters (7,388 feet).
You can check out Franky in action below (this video has been viewed more than 45 million times in the past 8 days alone!);
Franky is the CEO of Zapata Racing, which has actually developed a wide range of water-propelled devices, which connect to a personal watercraft turbine with a long hose. The Flyboard Air, however, is very different. It uses an "Independent Propulsion Unit" to fly hose-free for up to 10 minutes and the company states that the device can reach a maximum height of 10,000 feet, with a top speed of 150 kilometers per hour, or 93 miles per hour!
As the company says on their website, NEVER STOP DREAMING!
