US Has Killed More Than 20 Million People in 37 “Victim Nations” Since World War II – Here’s How

Recently, the world mourned another anniversary of the 9/11 "terrorist" attacks, which forever changed the world as we know it. It is one of the events that will forever serve as an historic marker on global events. A hundred years from now people will still speak in the context of "before 9/11," and "after 9/11".

After these attacks took place, a massive propaganda campaign led by Western mainstream media ensued. The War on Terror began and anyone who objected to America's plans of invading Afghanistan and any other country it chose to "fight terrorism" against, was in league with the enemy.

In the famous Bush speech, to rally the world in America's new war he stated that:

“The Americans have known wars, but for the past 136 years, they have been wars on foreign soil, except for one Sunday in 1941 [Pearl Harbour].”

It is in the spirit of this quote that we bring attention to the countless deaths over not 136 years, which would raise the count to millions and millions more, but only those since World War II, that the United States of America was either directly responsible for or complicit in their making.

Proxy wars, which is where the U.S. government or another large government operates in the shadows, is particularly brutal, and hold some of the highest numbers. There is hardly a nation in the world that the U.S. has not used its financial or military might to manipulate and puppeteer.

And although Russia, China, North Korea and all the other nations which refuse to allow American corporations and banks takeover their countries are constantly accused by the U.S. of bloodshed are guilty (of which they are guilty), the United States certainly shares a much larger part of the responsibility, since it is a nation built on much more blood shed and oppression.

We are not talking about pure speculation though, a very well researched study, compiled by James A. Lucas, explains the hard evidence, that 37 nations have been decimated by U.S. involvement.

Afghanistan and Russia

For those who aren't aware, back in the late 70's Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan began to train, arm and finance the ‘Mujahadeen’. This has been propagated to the world as being in response to Russia's invasion of Afghanistan, but this is a lie.

The government, the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan, was allied with communist Russia and their were rebels fighting to overthrow this regime.

So what really happened?

In 1998, co-founder of the trilateral commission, and former advisor to presidents Carter, Reagan and Obama, among others, Zbigniew Brzezinski admitted to a CIA instigated war which saw 12,000 deaths in Afghanistan directly attributed to the United States.

The Carter administration agreed to provide "secret aid" to the "rebels" wanting to overthrow the pro-Soviet government. Because they were arming these rebels with such sophisticated weaponry, Russia was drawn in because the government could not withstand the military fire power.

In in 1998 Brzezinski had this to say when asked if her regretted the decision;

“Regret what? That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it?”

6 billion dollars later, billed to tax payers, and a 10-year war, more than a million were reported dead. This doesn't include the death toll of opium addicts around the world since production skyrocketed once the United States entered the conflict.

Other interventions no one talks about

There are smaller nations, which are barely mentioned in the history books, and when they are, it's generally fabricated lies that paint the United States as a savior of some sort, if they are mentioned at all.

Angola’s civil lasted 26 years, with reports of between 300,000 to 750,000 dead, depending on different sources. Propagandists for those who commit the bulk of the kills always claim a smaller figure and local sources, or neutral human rights groups, always claim a higher figure. This is the rule of thumb for all conflicts.

Henry Kissinger claimed that the US had to intervene in Angola to preserve colonization, because “the Soviet Union was already providing military aid to the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) in the form of Cuban troops.” It was discovered several years later that this was a blatant lie and the Soviet Union was very hesitant about getting involved..

Chad saw between 40,000 murdered and over 200,000 tortured after the CIA placed puppet Hissen Habre into power in 1982.

These advances pale in comparison to the CIA led intervention with Chile’s democratically elected Salvador Allende. In what is dubbed "the original 9/11," on Sept. 11, 1973, Allende was killed in a massive attack on the country. In his place, America allowed dictator General Augusto Pinochet to come to power in 1974. This resulted in one of the greatest human tragedies ever in Latin America. In the words of Noam Chomsky;

 "Suppose that on 9-11 the planes had bombed the White  House… suppose they’d killed the president , established a military  dictatorship, quickly killed thousands, tortured tens of thousands more,  set up a major international  terror center that was carrying out  assassinations , overthrowing governments all over the place, installing  other dictatorships, and drove the country into one of the worst  depressions in its history and had to call on the state to bail them  out  Suppose that had happened? It did happen. On the first 9-11 in  1973.  Except we were responsible for it, so it didn’t happen. That’s  Allende’s Chile. You can’t imagine the media talking about this."
Chilean President Salvador Allende, flanked by body guards during the coup on 11 September 1973. Later that day, Allende was reported dead.

In 1960, after a CIA coup that ousted Juan Bosch, the Dominican Republic witnessed 3,000 deaths. When the citizens tried to reelect the popular leader the United States invaded with 22,000 military forces.

In the Korean war, the "U.S. dropped 650,000 tons of bombs, including 43,000 napalm bombs" indiscriminately on the population. The number of dead stand anywhere between several hundred thousand to 4.5 million for the Koreans and Chinese, once again depending on the sources.

If you include Laos, where an estimated 200,000 died from indiscriminate American bombing, the death toll in Vietnam is about 5.1 million deaths estimated by the Vietnam government.

In addition to this, millions were slaughtered after the U.S. left the country ruins, providing Pol Pot the perfect opportunity to rise to power.

And what of the CIA helping General Suharto of Indonesia come to power and them inciting the East Timor atrocities of 1975, leaving over a quarter of the entire population dead. Not only did president Gerald Ford and Kissinger help to arm the General, they gave him the intelligence on who to attack.

But it didn't stop there, in 1991 it happened again, with East Timor civilians in Dili gunned down by Suharto’s military for protesting the brutal oppression of the regime.

Please bear in mind this does not include the number of innocence killed by sanctions. A number that is estimated to be as more than 500,000 children alone in Iraq.

The world has been led to believe that America has been playing the role of the good guy throughout history, when the facts suggest otherwise. Through television, Hollywood and media propaganda they have managed to shape public opinion about history. Through the free flow of information granted by the internet, however, the truth is finally coming out.
